Kensey Cross, DVM

Following a dream to become a veterinarian, Dr. Cross graduated with a bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Minnesota in 2009. After working as a Research Associate in vaccine development for 2 years, she continued her education at the University of Minnesota, and earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Following graduation, Dr. Cross pursued additional year of advanced training, completing an internship with BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Chicago. Dr. Cross has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, dentistry, ophthalmology, and feline medicine. She also works as an emergency veterinarian at an emergency clinic on the side. In her spare time Dr. Cross enjoys flying trapeze, rock climbing, knitting, bird watching, and horseback riding.  She also enjoys spending time with her Border Collie, Benny, her cats Effie and Foster, and her duck Franklin.

Sonja Miller, DVM

Dr. Miller has been with us since November 2020. A 2015 graduate of the University of Minnesota, she comes to us with an abundance of knowledge and compassion for veterinary medicine. Dr. Miller has been an animal lover her whole life and grew up in Southwestern Minnesota with a succession of Golden Retrievers, stray cats, and horses. In her spare time you will find her knitting, bird watching, reading, and spending time with her husband and son.

Jean Ihnen, DVM

Dr. Ihnen has been with New Hope Animal Hospital since November 2020. She earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine at the University of Minnesota in 2005. Dr. Ihnen’s interests include preventative medicine, pain management, and feline medicine. Outside of work she enjoys training Golden Retrievers and competing with them at hunt tests, obedience, and rally trials. She lives in the country with her family of 8 Golden Retrievers, 1 English Setter, 4 horse, and 3 cats.
